The Pro Kabaddi League (PKL) 2025 is back with its 12th season, promising fans even more drama, action and thrilling encounters. The tournament kicks off on August 29, with 12 teams battling it out for the coveted title.
This season introduces exciting new features such as five-raid shootouts and golden raid extensions, ensuring even the league-stage matches end with a result. A total of 108 league matches will be played before the top eight teams progress to the playoffs.
PKL 2025 Format
- Top 2 teams go directly to Qualifier 1. The winner heads to the final, while the loser gets another chance in Qualifier 2.
- 3rd & 4th teams play a mini-qualifier. The winner moves forward, while the loser stays alive in the race.
- 5th to 8th teams face off in play-ins, fighting for a spot in the eliminators.
Defending champions Haryana Steelers will open their campaign against Bengal Warriorz on August 31 at 8 PM IST, followed by Bengaluru Bulls vs Puneri Paltan.
